Hydrocarbon separator alarms warn you of an accumulation of oils/fuel within the separator, which may compromise its efficiency and effectiveness. The alarm warning allows you time to service/empty the separator to ensure it continues to operate effectively and doesn't cause pollution, which can result in expensive clean-up costs and fines.

The PURATANK Hydrocarbon Alarm is designed for use with vehicle washdown separators. It is generally used with the PURATANK range of Vehicle Washdown Separators, although it can also be fitted to most other vehicle washdown separators.

This mains-operated alarm has an audible alarm and a liquid crystal display and is operated by a single push button. In addition, there are also two relays within the alarm unit, which allow the use of an external sounder or beacon (not supplied with the unit), and it can also be connected to a Building Management System (BMS).
