IBC's (or Intermediate Bulk Containers) are industrial grade storage containers manufactured for the storage and transportation of liquids, semi-solids, hazardous or not. IBC's can be stacked and usually consist of a square tank within a frame and a pallet-style base, which allows the container to be moved around using a forklift or pallet truck.
Our IBC Water Storage Tanks range from 640 - 1,000 litres and are made with HDPE. This robust material allows for your container to take part in a number of industrial activies and store an even wider range of chemicals or liquids, without needing to worry about your tanks health. Why Are IBC's The Shape That They Are?
IBC Water Storage Tanks have a carefully constructed frame on the top and bottom that perfectly aligns with a plastic pallet. This allows for easy transportation and tank stacking.
Can IBC Tanks Be Cleaned?
Yes, like most other storage tanks, IBC's are able to be cleaned. You could either use a hosepipe, jet washer or spray head cleaner to do so.
IBC Tank Cleaning Tips
Please see below a step-by-step process on cleaning IBC Water Storage Tanks.
- Empty tanks contents. If the tank contained solids, debris should be manually removed. Whereas if the tank was used to store liquids, it should be drained or vacuumed.
- Rinse the tank out. It's reccomended that hot water is used for optimum effectiveness. Avoid using chemical cleaning additives as this can contaminate the future contents of the tank.
- Dry the tank. Either let the tank air dry, or place it in a room with positive airflow circulation.
