The size of the tank required is usually calculated by the amount of waste produced and the frequency at which you plan to have the waste taken away.
A Silage tank is usually an underground tank which is designed with a chemical liner to prevent the waste leaching through the main structure of the tank and causing premature tank failure and pollution. This tank allows for the safe collection and retention of silage effluent - acting as an effluent storage tank.
Silage tanks are supplied with an inlet but no outlet as all waste is usually tankered away for disposal. As well as being suitable for Silage these tanks can also be used for the storage of chemical toilet or dog waste.
Silage tanks are completely sealed much like a cesspool tanks but have a special lining to prevent corrosion - designed in accordance with BS6297 to ensure you meet all building regulations.
