The new Klargester Alpha 3800-litre shallow-dig septic tank is manufactured from MDPE and complies with EN 12566-1. With a capacity of 3800 litres, this septic tank is suitable for properties of up to 10 bedrooms or 2 x 4-bedroom houses in a domestic situation, as it can accommodate up to 12 people. This tank has a maximum daily flow of 1.8 m³.

The Alpha's shallow design makes it ideal for challenging ground conditions such as rock, where installing a deeper, traditionally shaped septic tank can be problematic. Subject to the site's ground conditions and the water table, the Alpha can be installed with a concrete surround for a wet site or granular backfill for a free-draining dry site. If the water table rises above the base of the tank at any point of the year, it must be installed in concrete in line with the installation instructions. However, due to the changing climate and rising water tables, concrete backfill is always recommended. If the tank is being installed in poorly draining soils, such as clay or silt, it must be backfilled with concrete.

Alpha septic tanks are available as single or twin-stage (the twin-stage includes a chamber for the final effluent). The twin-stage tank provides a slightly higher hydraulic efficiency.

If a deeper installation is required, a 500mm extension neck (riser) is available for purchase.  With the riser the maximum inlet/invert depth available for this product is 1550mm.

Delivery:

FREE delivery of this product includes the whole of the UK Mainland and is subject to suitable access for a large goods vehicle. This product is delivered to the kerbside. It is the customers responsibilty to provide suitable mechanical offloading facilities (eg. JCB evcavator or forklift) to offload this tank.
