Manufactured by 3P Technik, this rainwater filter is designed for large roof areas of up to 800m2. The Twin Filter can be installed in chambers underground (usually installed in a standard 1000mm manhole) or directly on the wall using the stainless steel mounting bracket provided. To ensure the longevity of the filter, it is best installed in a frost-free location.

Due to its two-step cleaning system, this filter has a high level of filtering efficiency which is independent of flow rate. Due to the steep inclination of the filter cartridge, the dirt is continuously cleaned away into the sewer connection. The cleaned water is collected in a small sump in the filter and directed into the storage tank. The 3P two-step filtration system is a proven tried and tested technology. The filter is easily accessed by removing the top lid. The filter can then be removed for cleaning, it is also recommended that the filter is inspected twice yearly.

Water cleaned by this filter is suitable for non-potable uses, which include; garden irrigation, vehicle washing, toilet flushing etc.

How it works:

1. Incoming rainwater collects in the inlet weir sump, from which it must weir over onto the  2 filter units (overflow principle)2. Cleaning takes place over the two cascades. Larger dirt particles are washed directly to waste off the primary cascade.
2. Pre-filtered water then flows over the secondary filter sieve (mesh size 0.65 mm). Due to the special mesh structure of the sieve, any dirt washes directly into the sewer connection.
3. The filtered water collects in the central sump and passes via both clean water outlets to collection tanks.
4. The dirt that has been filtered out is washed to waste via the two outlets.
